The Luxembourg Friends of Museums contribute to :

- the visibility of the national and international collections and the cultural locations abroad
The Luxembourg Friends of Museums support and participate in the promotion of the following museums their 6 partner museums :
- Casino Luxembourg-Forum d’art contemporain, Contemporary art institution
- Lëtzebuerg City Museum
- Musée Dräi Eechelen (Musée de la Forteresse)
- Mudam, The Contemporary Art Museum of Luxembourg
- Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, The National Museum of History and Art
- Villa Vauban, Luxembourg City Art Museum
Our activities
During each exhibition or event taking place in one of the 6 supported museums or other cultural institutions (art galleries, art centers), the Friends of Museums are invited to previews, free guided tours, as well as conferences and exclusive meetings with artists, curators, and art or history enthusiasts.
The association of the Friends of Museums frequently proposes journeys and trips to its members, aiming to make discover important international exhibitions abroad, visit artists’ ateliers and privileged cultural sites.
The advantages of being a member
The Luxembourg Friends of Museums holders of a Museum Pass
- benefit from the free, permanent and unlimited access to the 6 partner museums
- have the privilege to assist to all the activities organized by the association
- can participate for free at the Night of the museums
- are invited to the openings of the exhibitions in the partner museums
- are regularly kept informed about the activities of the museums
- benefit from a reduction on each purchase of a publication edited by one of the museums (catalogues, posters etc..)
- benefit from a 5% reduction on all the art books in the bookstores Ernster and Alinea
The members of the Luxembourg Friends of Museums regularly receive organisation programs of the museums in Luxembourg City, d’Stater Muséeën by paper or email, and the museums commit to make the membership beneficial, through; their membership card, or a reduction on the purchase of any of the museums’ publications.
The benefactors of a member’s card of the Friends, are granted additional advantages by the museums, such as: free access for a guest, reduction on any purchase of a publication edited by the museum, 1 free poster of the current exhibition, invitation to a private event organized by one of the museums.
The foundation
The Luxembourg Friends of Museums established a public utility foundation with the purpose of facilitating the acquisition of art pieces for the Luxembourgish museums. Any donation to the foundation benefits from a tax exemption.
